WHAT CAME OUT WAS NASTY from Mark 7

Many trials and tribulations affect us like divorce, pushy in-laws, jealous co-workers, rude shoppers, broken homes or marriages or dreams, molestation or violation, bankruptcy or foreclosures, bad languages from television or music, and back biting friends. But all of that negativity or nastiness that confront us and thus sometimes enters our minds, we cannot let that come out through our attitudes, actions, deeds or lack there of, or our words.

Jesus Christ himself explains in the book of Mark chapter 7 that what goes in a man does not defile him but rather what comes out. This state was in response to the scribes and Pharisees teaching commandments of men and not of God. In particular them teaching that people did not have to care for their mother or father differing from Moses which had taught to honor your mother or father. Jesus was saying that this action of not caring for your parents unless it brought profit was a defilement of your soul.

So many things enter us via our ears and eyes and heart but let us wisely process these things so that they do no come out of us in the form of curse words that we hear in rap music, violence from tv, fornication as depicted in movies, telling people off, not wanting to do good deeds or charity because we got burned the last time, molesting or violating another because we ourselves were abused, or stealing or defrauding others to live like the Jones.

Many things enter us but we are defiled by what comes out of us.
