Why ask & pray to God if He already knows?

God said that He would supply all of our needs, NOT our wants. So when we pray, maybe we think it is a need but to God it is really a want. Yet and still God says you have not because you ask not. Well people say He’s God shouldn’t He know? Well people have different wants and ways also change. Some people may want to have kids it ten later on don’t. So we need to ask God for what we want but He decides if it’s a need and sometimes He grants our wants as well.

I look at it like this, you give your kids what they need. But you may not know what they want until they ask. You may not know that they want a video game until they ask. Then you decide whether you will give it or not give it. Maybe God does the same?
