What’s up Beautiful,
People say this Bible verse all of the time from Job 13:15 but rarely do they finish the verse or quote all of it. The verse actually reads “Though he slay me, yet will I trust him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.”
The second part of the verse is just as pop as the first half. I take this to mean that even when we are going through difficulties we should still behave we ourselves or maintain or exemplify Christlike character.
For instance, if the person we love cheats or has an affair, we should not be seeking revenge by having an affair or immoral relationships as well. This violates God’s law. Or even in financial trouble and everyone around us is getting money in dishonest ways, we have a responsibility to God to figure it out or work through our financial struggles. When cursed out, we have to maintain temperance and not lose our cool.
This calling is hard but as the last part of the verse says we have to maintain OUR own way BEFORE him. So he’s watching!!! Do right!!!
Be blessed🙏🏽
